Allen Toussaint and Elvis Costello are no strangers to one another. The two collaborated on an album a few years back and have performed together live, including an unforgettable guest turn from Costello at Toussaint's Village Vanguard residency in New York City early this year to celebrate the release of Toussaint's Nonesuch debut, The Bright Mississippi. On tonight's episode, which airs at 10 PM ET, Costello builds an unbeatable band for a once-in-a-lifetime jam session featuring Toussaint on piano; Nick Lowe, Costello's former record producer and the recent touring partner of Ry Cooder, on bass; singer/songwriter Richard Thompson on guitar; and, from The Band, drummer Levon Helm.

    Ahead of their concerts in Germany this weekend, Rhiannon Giddens and her band were on ARD-Morgenmagazin, the morning show of ARD's flagship television channel, Das Erste, to perform "Yet to Be," a song from her new album, You're the One. "Rhiannon Giddens is a musical exception: trained opera singer, composer, vocalist, virtuoso on the banjo and many other instruments," says the show.
