The Americana Music Association Honors & Awards show takes place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville tonight and will include performances from 2013 multiple nominees Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, as well as Dr. John and others. Tune in to watch all the action as the show is broadcast live on AXS TV starting at 8 PM ET; it will also stream live online via Folk Alley and NPR Music. Harris has been nominated for Artist of the Year, and, with Rodney Crowell, Album of the Year and Duo/Group of the Year for their album Old Yellow Moon.

The five-day Americana Music Festival will take place in venues throughout Nashville, Tennessee, starting today. Its capstone event, the Americana Music Association Honors & Awards show, takes place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Music City tonight. Performers at tonight's show include 2013 multiple nominees Emmylou Harris & Rodney Crowell, as well as Dr. John and others. Jim Lauderdale will once again host the Honors & Awards, while Buddy Miller will lead the All-Star Band. Tune in to watch all the action as the show is broadcast live on AXS TV starting at 8 PM ET tonight. IT will also stream live online via Folk Alley/NPR Music.

Emmylou Harris has been nominated for three awards, including Artist of the Year. She is also nominated with Rodney Crowell for Album of the Year and Duo/Group of the Year for their acclaimed 2013 collaboration, Old Yellow Moon. As part of the Americana Music Festival & Conference, the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum joins The Americana Music Association in once again presenting a number of events in Nashville's Ford Theater, starting with an interview with Dr. John hosted by Nick Spitzer, host of public radio's American Routes, at 1 PM ET on Thursday. You can watch the program then streaming live at countrymusichalloffame.org. Dr. John's Grammy Award-winning Nonesuch Records debut album, Locked Down, is also available in the Nonesuch Store.

    Kronos Quartet's Album 'Pieces of Africa' Inducted Into National Recording Registry at Library of Congress

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024.
