The Arcs kick off their first-ever North American tour with a sold-out show at First Ave in Minneapolis tonight, with special guests Mariachi Flor de Toloache. The three-week tour continues with shows in Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Akron, New York, Toronto, Boston, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Charlotte, culminating at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on December 20.

The Arcs—Dan Auerbach, Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, and Nick Movshon along with special guests Mariachi Flor de Toloache—kick off their first-ever North American tour with a sold-out show at First Ave in Minneapolis tonight. The three-week tour continues with shows in Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Akron, New York, Toronto, Boston, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta, and Charlotte, culminating at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on December 20. The Arcs released a limited-edition six-song recording, The Arcs vs. The Inventors Vol. I, featuring Dr. John and David Hidalgo, on 10" vinyl in independent record shops for Record Store Day's Black Friday event last weekend; a digital version will be available for download on December 11. The Black Friday release follows The Arcs' debut album, Yours, Dreamily, which was recently released to critical acclaim. To pick up a copy of Yours, Dreamily, head to iTunes or the Nonesuch Store, where the album is 15% off the everyday low price as part of the ongoing Nonesuch Store Anniversary Sale.

    Kronos Quartet's Album 'Pieces of Africa' Inducted Into National Recording Registry at Library of Congress

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024. "It planted a seed for our work," Kronos founder and violinist David Harrington says of the album. "It's flowered so beautifully."
