Audra McDonald will be among a whole host of Broadway stars shining at New York's Roseland Ballroom tonight for the Roundabout Theatre Company's Spring Gala, Take Me Back to Manhattan, a one-night-only celebration of the 1930s and '40s big-band era in New York City. The performance, which benefits the Roundabout's Musical Theatre Fund, features music of that era's great composers, like Rodgers, Porter, Arlen, Berlin, Ellington, and Gershwin.

Tonight's event will be hosted by Nathan Lane, who can be heard on the 2001 Nonesuch recording of Stephen Sondheim's The Frogs, and, in addition to Audra, is scheduled to include performances by Michael Cerveris (Sweeney Todd), Kelli O'Hara (The Light in the Piazza), Alec Baldwin, Matthew Broderick, Mario Cantone, Jane Krakowski, Cynthia Nixon, Denis O'Hare, Martha Plimpton, and many more.

The Roundabout first began producing productions on Broadway more than 15 years ago, first presenting revivals at a time when few others were, bringing back lesser-known gems and reinterpreting the classics. Since then, the Roundabout has put on 19 musicals, including five works by  Sondheim—Company, Follies, Assassins, Pacific Overtures, and Sunday in the Park with George—and the 2007 production of 110 in the Shade, starring Audra.
