Ben Folds will perform in a live fundraising event to benefit victims of the floods in Pakistan, which airs online at live4pakistan.tv today starting at 4 PM GMT / 11 AM ET. The event, led by singer/songwriter Imogen Heap and Sir Richard Branson, will feature live music and open discussion. Other performers include Heap, Amanda Palmer, KT Tunstall, and Josh Groban. Contributions are being accepted for UNICEF, OXFAM, and Architecture for Humanity.

Ben Folds will be participating in a live fundraising event to benefit victims of the floods in Pakistan, which airs online at live4pakistan.tv today starting at 4 PM GMT / 11 AM ET. The event, led by singer/songwriter Imogen Heap and Sir Richard Branson, will feature live music and open discussion. Folds will offer a live musical performance, as will Heap, Amanda Palmer, Kate Havnevik, KT Tunstall, Josh Groban, Kaki King, Zoe Keating, and Mark Isham. Those scheduled to speak at the event include Branson, Mary Robinson, Cameron Sinclair, Mark Pearson (live from Karachi), Gary Slutkin, and Anders Wilhemlson.

Head to live4pakistan.tv to watch the event live and make a contribution to UNICEF, OXFAM, and Architecture for Humanity. All funds will go to support the efforts of those three charities in Pakistan. Monsoon rains have caused extensive flooding throughout Pakistan, hitting about one fifth of the country, affecting over 14 million people, leaving 900,000 homes damaged or destroyed, and leading to the deaths of more than 1,600 people.

Björk recently announced that sales of her forthcoming song, "The Comet Song," coming soon to the iTunes from the film Moomins and the Comet, will support UNICEF's efforts in Pakistan.
