Nomad, the Nonesuch debut album from Tuareg guitarist Omara "Bombino" Moctar released to critical acclaim earlier this week, has now received a rave review from the Los Angeles Times. 

"[B]y setting to song meditations on life, patience, history and heritage," writes Times pop music critic Randall Roberts, "Bombino and his band have released a killer document not only for fans of North African guitar music; anyone who has ever appreciated a master player make magic on a Fender ... will find comfort in Bombino’s music."

Referencing the relationship between Bombino and the album's producer, Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys, Roberts says the songs on the album "convey a collaboration not only between two talented musicians, but between the American South and the African North."
