Brad Mehldau was featured on BBC Radio 3's Radio 3 Requests program this past Sunday to offer the Guest Request Choice for the week. Speaking of grunge hits, after a play of the Oasis tune "Wonderwall," as reimagined by the Brad Mehldau Trio on the 2008 Live album, Mehldau asks host Fiona Talkington to play Tippett's Fantasia Concertante on a theme of Corelli. Talkington speaks with Mehldau, whom she describes as "a musician who has a great power to surprise," about his choice of the 20th-century British composer's 1953 Fantasia, which he calls "a gorgeous piece"
