The line-up for the 2012 Celtic Connections festival in Glasgow, Scotland, was announced today and among the artists on this year's line-up are the Carolina Chocolate Drops and Punch Brothers. The Nonesuch Records label mates are playing a double header show together at O2 ABC 1 Glasgow on Friday, January 20, 2012.

As recently announced in the Nonesuch Journal, the Carolina Chocolate Drops, will play live at Cecil Sharp House in London on January 23. The band is currently working on the follow-up to their Grammy Award-winning Nonesuch debut album, Genuine Negro Jig. The Chocolate Drops last played Celtic Connections in 2010, shortly before the release of that album.

Punch Brothers, which is also at work on the follow-up to its latest Nonesuch album, Antifogmatic, will be performing in London then as well, headlining at Bush Hall on January 18. The band has several European dates that week supporting Amos Lee, with shows at Paradiso in Amsterdam, La Cigale in Paris, and a return to London to play O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on January 21.

(Coincidentally, that week also marks the launch of fellow Nonesuch artist Kronos Quartet's residency at the Barbican on January 24.)
