Conor Oberst and Alison Krauss are the latest performers announced as part of the lineup of artists taking part in The Life & Songs of Emmylou Harris: An All-Star Concert Celebration at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, on January 10, 2015. In addition to the newly announced performers, the lineup includes Harris, Rodney Crowell, Iron & Wine, Shawn Colvin, Sara Watkins, Kris Kristofferson, Joan Baez, Sheryl Crow, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Mavis Staples, Martina McBride, John Hiatt, Lucinda Williams, Trampled By Turtles, Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, Shovels & Rope, and The Milk Carton Kids.

Conor Oberst and Alison Krauss are the latest performers announced as part of the prestigious lineup of artists taking part in The Life & Songs of Emmylou Harris: An All- Star Concert Celebration, a once-in-a-lifetime concert event taping honoring Emmylou Harris. The concert will take place at DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, DC, on January 10, 2015.

In addition to the newly announced performers, the concert will feature a lineup of music stars, including: Emmylou Harris, Rodney Crowell, Iron & Wine, Shawn Colvin, Sara Watkins, Kris Kristofferson, Joan Baez, Sheryl Crow, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Mavis Staples, Martina McBride, John Hiatt, Lucinda Williams, Trampled By Turtles, Steve Earle, Patty Griffin, Shovels & Rope, and The Milk Carton Kids. Additional performers will be announced in the coming weeks.

"Having Alison Krauss and Conor Oberst on this show takes it to an entirely new level," said Keith Wortman, the creator and executive producer of the show along with Harris’s manager Ken Levitan. "It is a is a testament to how special Emmylou Harris and her music is to everyone."

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024. "It planted a seed for our work," Kronos founder and violinist David Harrington says of the album. "It's flowered so beautifully."
