Devendra Banhart has added 21 additional shows to follow his recently announced tour of the US West in early 2017. The new leg of begins in New Mexico on February 12 and continues into mid-March, with stops in Austin, Atlanta, Miami, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cambridge, Philadelphia, DC, and more, culminating at Webster Hall in NYC on March 16. Tickets for the newly announced shows go on sale this Friday, December 2.
Devendra Banhart, who recently announced several tour dates in the western United States for January and early February of 2017, has now added twenty-one additional shows to follow. The new leg of the tour begins at Taos Mesa Brewing in New Mexico on February 12 and continues into mid-March, with stops in cities including Austin, Atlanta, Miami, Minneapolis, Chicago, Cambridge, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC, before culminating at Webster Hall in New York City on March 16. Ape in Pink Marble, Banhart's ninth album, was released in September on Nonesuch Records. The album was written, produced, arranged, and recorded in Los Angeles by the singer / songwriter / guitarist with his longtime collaborators Noah Georgeson and Josiah Steinbrick, both of whom also worked on Banhart's most recent album, Mala (2013). Q magazine and the Times of London give the new album four stars; Uncut calls it "excellent."
