Hardly Strictly Bluegrass, the free annual outdoor music festival held in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park, returns for its 11th run in the park's Speedway Meadow this September 30 through October 2. As ever, Hardly Strictly Bluegrass is sure to include a stellar line-up of performers.

This year, the festival's organizers are announcing those artists through a series of music medleys of confirmed acts added to the official site, strictlybluegrass.com, over a number of weeks. Among the already-announced performers are two Nonesuch artists familiar to those who have enjoyed Hardly Strictly before: Punch Brothers, who performed last year, and Emmylou Harris, who will have performed at each of the festival's 11 years. And just added to the festival roster in today's medley is another Nonesuch artist: The Low Anthem. (The Low Anthem toured with Harris last fall and is featured on the digital bonus track of her new album Hard Bargain, joining Harris on their song “To Ohio.")

Also among this year's performers is bassist Edgar Meyer, who released a duo album with Punch Brothers' Chris Thile on Nonesuch in 2008; Irma Thomas, who is featured on the 2005 benefit album Our New Orleans; and Jimmie Dale Gilmore and the Blind Boys of Alabama, who released albums on Nonesuch back in the earlier '90s.
