Harris continues her North American summer tour following last weekend's sets at the Dave Matthews Band Caravan in Chicago and the Mariposa Folk Festival in Ontario and last night's show at the Pabst Theater in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She performs at the Palladium in Carmel, Indiana, tonight, before heading east for shows in New York state and Massachusetts this weekend. She joins the legendary Levon Helm Band for a concert in New York City's Central Park on Monday to benefit Summerstage.
Reviewing Harris's set at the Dave Matthews Band Caravan, the Chicago Tribune's Bob Gendron writes: "Achy, sympathetic and warm, Harris' quivering whippoorwill voice was the most effortlessly beautiful sound heard at the festival."

"In an era when contemporary country music seems strangely disconnected from its past, Emmylou Harris is a singing History channel of traditional song," explains the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Dave Tianen in a review of last night's show at the Pabst.
"One of her strengths has always been the ability to discern good material, and, throughout her career, she has turned to country's roots for inspiration," Tianen explains.
