Jessica Lea Mayfield and her recently released Nonesuch debut, Tell Me, were featured on NPR's Weekend Edition Saturday this past weekend. Mayfield spoke with host Scott Simon about her new album, produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach.
"Meeting, matching, looking for love and struggling to keep it are all subjects for songs on Jessica Lea Mayfield's new album," says Simon by way of introduction. "Jessica Lea Mayfield is just 21, but her songs are wry, blunt and ring with bitter experiences."

Mayfield performs those songs of love and heartache in a Valentine's Day concert at First Avenue in Minneapolis tonight. It's the final stop on her tour with Justin Townes Earle. Up next are three shows this coming weekend with the Avett Brothers, fresh off their performance at the Grammys with Mumford & Sons and Bob Dylan. Mayfield launches her own headlining tour in March.
