Jessica Lea Mayfield's Nonesuch debut album, Tell Me, produced by The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach, is due out in just a few weeks, on February 8, with the vinyl set for a February 22 release. Mayfield recently stopped by the offices of Relix magazine to perform the album track "Sometimes at Night," which Relix describes as "haunting." The Boston Globe features Mayfield in its list of recommended new artists for the new year. "At 21, Mayfield writes and sings beyond her years, sounding like she’s lived as hard a life as Lucinda Williams, to whom she’s often compared," says the Globe.
