k.d. lang has been named the recipient of the Americana Music Association's 2018 Americana Trailblazer Award. The honor will be presented at the Americana Honors & Awards, at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville on September 12. She will also headline the Ryman on September 16 on the just-announced nine-city fall leg of her "Ingénue Redux" Tour, which includes shows in Florida, Alabama, and Texas.

k.d. lang has been named the recipient of the Americana Music Association's 2018 Americana Trailblazer Award. The honor will be presented to lang at the 17th annual Americana Honors & Awards, which will be held on Wednesday, September 12, at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. lang will also headline the Ryman on Sunday, September 16, as part of her Ingénue Redux Tour, celebrating that landmark album's 25th anniversary.

"We are beyond excited to honor k.d. lang at our hallmark event of the year," said Jed Hilly, Executive Director of the Americana Music Association. "Her unwavering artistry has set a new standard for any musician of this current generation, and we are humbled to honor that legacy."

k.d. lang also announces the nine-city fall leg of her North American Ingénue Redux Tour, which, in addition to Nashville, will bring a live performance of the platinum-selling record to several cities in Florida, Alabama, and Texas. In addition to performing Ingénue, lang will sing songs from her 2004 Nonesuch album, Hymns of the 49th Parallel. See below for full list of tour dates or visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

The tour follows the release of a re-mastered Anniversary Edition of Ingénue on Nonesuch last year. The two-disc set includes eight previously unreleased live performances from lang's 1993 MTV Unplugged episode, recorded in New York City's famed Ed Sullivan Theater.

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024. "It planted a seed for our work," Kronos founder and violinist David Harrington says of the album. "It's flowered so beautifully."
