This year's Producer of the Year nomination is particularly noteworthy, given that Watershed is k.d.'s first self-produced project.

Over the years, she has won a total of eight JUNOs, dating all the way back to her 1985 win for Most Promising Female Vocalist of the Year. This year's Producer of the Year nomination is particularly noteworthy, given that Watershed is k.d.'s first self-produced project.
"Judging by the record number of JUNO Awards submissions received this year from artists across the country and the nominees named today," said Melanie Berry, the president of CARAS, "it is clear that Canadian musicians are at the top of their game and continue to add new layers of creativity and excellence to their craft and to the global music industry as well."
The awards ceremony will be held at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC, on Saturday, March 28, and broadcast on CTV the following day.
