Kronos previously received Edisons for the albums Black Angels in 1991 and Kronos Caravan in 2001. With the Ouevreprijs, it is being honored for its achievements over the past forty-five years. The Edison Award is the annual Dutch prize given for outstanding achievements in the music industry and is one of the oldest music awards in the world.
