Laurie Anderson's new film, Heart of a Dog, has been nominated for a Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Documentary. The Gotham Awards, presented by the Independent Filmmaker Project, will be handed out in a ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street in NYC on November 30. The Heart of a Dog soundtrack recording, including all music and spoken text, is due out tomorrow on Nonesuch Records.

Laurie Anderson's new film, Heart of a Dog, has been nominated for a Gotham Independent Film Award for Best Documentary. The Gotham Awards, presented by the Independent Filmmaker Project, will be handed out in a ceremony at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City on Monday, November 30.

Heart of a Dog has been shown at numerous film festivals and began its theatrical run at the Film Forum in New York City last night, with Anderson answering questions after the screening. The New York Times film critic Manohla Dargis calls Heart of a Dog "dreamy, drifty and altogether lovely." Her colleague A.O. Scott called it "wildly inventive ... philosophically astute, emotionally charged." New York calls it "one of the most moving and provocative films you'll see this year."

The complete Heart of a Dog soundtrack recording, including all music and spoken text, is due out tomorrow on Nonesuch Records and is available to pre-order on iTunes and in the Nonesuch Store.
