Natalie Merchant will give her first UK performance in over seven years on Monday, November 16, at Conway Hall in London. The date—An Evening with Natalie Merchant—will showcase material from her forthcoming Nonesuch album release, as well as selections from her celebrated 28-year career. Natalie Merchant's new album is due for release in Spring 2010. It will be her first new studio recording in seven years and her first for Nonesuch Records.
This Friday, October 23, UK fans can catch Natalie on Newsnight, BBC Two's flagship current affairs program, starting at 10:30 PM GMT. For the episode, Newsnight is joining forces with Newsnight Review for a special 75-minute program live from New York City, marking the 80th anniversary of the 1929 Wall Street Crash.
Presenter Kirsty Wark and a panel of guests, including English historian and Columbia University professor Simon Schama, will debate the political, economic, and cultural legacy of the crash, and the parallels with today's economic crisis.

She'll be performing in the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall's Main Auditorium on January 28 with the Irish band Lúnasa.
