This Memorial Day weekend, David Byrne and Rostam are both performing at the Sasquatch! Music Festival taking place at the Gorge Amphitheatre in George, Washington.

Byrne, currently on the US leg of his American Utopia world tour, plays the penultimate set on the Sasquatch stage tonight. He then heads to Oregon for a sold-out show at Keller Auditorium in Portland on Sunday and a performance at Hult Center in Eugene on Memorial Day Monday. After a run of Canadian dates this week, the Calgary Herald called his live show “miraculous,” and the Edmonton Journal said Byrne had brought “the greatest live band on earth” for “one of the best shows we’ve ever seen … Bravo!”

Rostam brings music from his 2017 solo debut, Half-Light, to the El Chupacabra stage on Saturday night. He heads out on a two-week tour of the UK and Europe next week. Q gives Half-Light four stars, calling it “a stylistic hall-of-mirrors that refracts modern styles through classical arrangements and Eastern percussion. It feels like a step into a brave new world.”

Jeremy Denk joins the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Teddy Abrams, for the world premiere of Hannah Lash’s Concerto No. 1 In Pursuit of Flying. They perform the piece at Ordway Concert Hall in Saint Paul tonight and Saturday, and Ted Mann Concert Hall in Minneapolis on Sunday afternoon. The program also includes works by Benjamin Britten, Stravinsky, Jeremy Kittel, Teddy Abrams, and Aaron Copland.

Fleet Foxes conclude the latest leg of their US Crack-Up tour with shows at The Green at Shelburne Museum in South Burlington, Vermont, on Saturday, and Harvard Athletic Complex in Allston, Massachusetts, on Sunday, as part of Boston Calling. The band heads out on a European tour in early July and is back and forth between there and North America touring all summer.

Lake Street Dive continues its North American tour, featuring music from its new album, Free Yourself Up, in California this weekend, with sold-out shows at The Fillmore in San Francisco tonight and BottleRock Napa Valley in Napa on Sunday. Robert Plant and his band the Sensational Space Shifters are in the UK, bringing music from his new album, Carry Fire, to Catton Hall on Saturday for Bearded Theory’s Spring Gathering, and Bath Recreation Ground on Sunday for Bath Festival’s weekend finale. Plant and the band return to North America for a three-week tour starting in early June.
