Michelle Branch celebrates today’s release of her new album, The Trouble With Fever, with a performance at Rough Trade in New York City this evening. Her tour, which began in Boston last night, continues this weekend with a concert at Brooklyn Bowl in Philadelphia on Saturday and a return to New York for a show at Webster Hall on Sunday.

San Francisco Opera continues its world premiere performances of John Adams’s new opera, Anthony and Cleopatra, at the War Memorial Opera House in San Francisco on Sunday afternoon. Fans around the world can watch the performance streaming live from 2pm PT.

Timo Andres joins in the weekend-long celebration of Philip Glass’s 85th birthday at Kaatsbaan Cultural Park in Tivoli, New York, with performances of the composer’s Etudes on Sunday evening and Saturday afternoon. Also on the program are new works by Lucinda Childs, Justin Peck, and others.

Jeremy Denk continues his tour of Scotland and the North of England in a concert at Sage Gateshead with Royal Northern Sinfonia on Saturday, marking the ensemble’s season Opening Night. On the program are works by Ives, Beethoven, Kurtág, and Mozart.

Emmylou Harris headlines Mabon: A Harvest Moon Concert Series at the Planet Bluegrass Ranch in Lyons, Colorado, on Saturday, joined by Watchhouse.

Gabriel Kahane closes out this leg of his Magnificent Bird two with two shows in New Mexico: at Tumbleroot Brewery & Distillery in Santa Fe tonight and 912 Third in Albuquerque on Sunday. He heads back out on the road in October.

The Magnetic Fields close out their European summer tour with two shows in German—at Lido in Berlin tonight and Kampnagel K6 in Hamburg on Saturday—and a night at The Royal Opera House in Copenhagen on Sunday. The band will head to South American in December.

Molly Tuttle and Golden Highway celebrate today’s release of their Amazon Original cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit” and their debut album Crooked Tree with a set at Kentucky Expo Center’s Highland Festival Grounds in Louisville on Saturday as part of the Bourbon & Beyond Festival.

    Kronos Quartet has announced its ninth-annual Kronos Festival, to take place at SFJAZZ Center, June 20–23, 2024. The festival marks the ensemble’s milestone 50th Anniversary year and the farewell performances of John Sherba and Hank Dutt, members of Kronos Quartet for more than 45 years.
