On November 4, Punch Brothers and Steve Martin will perform together on The Late Show with David Letterman. Additional upcoming highlights include tour dates with the Dave Matthews Band and Dierks Bentley, as well as a special performance alongside T Bone Burnett at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival. Moreover, Jon Brion, who produced Punch Brothers' new album, Antifogmatic, will play a special opening set at the band’s LA show in October.
On November 4, Punch Brothers and Steve Martin will perform together on The Late Show with David Letterman. This appearance continues Punch Brothers’ collaboration with Martin, who invited the band on a series of special tour dates earlier this year. As reported yesterday in the Nonesuch Journal, Martin awarded Punch Brothers’ banjo player, Noam Pikelny, the inaugural Steve Martin Prize for Excellence in Banjo and Bluegrass.
There's more good news on the tour front, following word earlier this week that Punch Brothers would be joining Dierks Bentley during his New York City residency in October. Additional upcoming tour highlights include two dates with the Dave Matthews Band, in Albany and Philadelphia this November, as well as a special performance alongside T Bone Burnett featuring special guests Karen Elson and the Secret Sisters at the 10th Annual Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. Moreover, Jon Brion, who produced Punch Brothers' latest Nonesuch release, Antifogmatic, will play a very special opening set at the band’s show at the El Rey Theatre in Los Angeles on October 12.
