Punch Brothers have announced a number of new US tour dates for this December, starting at Overture Hall in Madison, WI, on December 1, and making their way across the Midwest, over to the Northeast and Southeast. Gabriel Kahane will again join the band for the first two weeks, after which Anaïs Mitchell will join for several shows. A limited ticket pre-sale begins Tuesday, September 15, at PunchBrothers.com; general on-sale begins this Friday, September 18. The current leg of the tour, which kicks off Friday at FreshGrass Festival, now includes a set at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass in San Francisco.
Punch Brothers, who kick off the next leg of their tour this Friday at FreshGrass Festival in North Adams, Massachusetts, have announced a number of new US tour dates for this December. Those shows, featuring music from the band's latest Nonesuch release, The Phosphorescent Blues, and more, start at Overture Hall in Madison, Wisconsin, on December 1, and make their way across the Midwest, over to the Northeast and Southeast. There are a few more dates still to be announced in the coming weeks. Gabriel Kahane will again join the band for the first two weeks, after which Anaïs Mitchell will join for several shows.
A limited ticket pre-sale will begin tomorrow, September 15, at 10 AM local time at PunchBrothers.com. If you miss out, public tickets will go on sale this Friday, September 18.
The current leg of the tour, scheduled to early October, now includes a free set at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park the weekend of October 2, where Emmylou Harris, a festival regular, is joined by Rodney Crowell for this year's event. Chris Thile will give a solo tour of the United States starting in late October.
