Punch Brothers are guests on today's episode of Soundcheck from WNYC. Today's special edition of the show will take place before a sold-out audience in the Greene Space in downtown Manhattan and broadcast live on 93.9 FM and online at wnyc.org, where you can also watch a live webcast, all starting at 2 PM ET. Also on today's show is guitarist/composer Kaki King. Punch Brothers perform at New York's Town Hall tomorrow night as part of their US headlining tour.

Punch Brothers are guests on today's episode of Soundcheck, the daily talk show about music from New York NPR member station WNYC. Today's special edition of Soundcheck will take place before a sold-out audience in the Greene Space in downtown Manhattan and broadcast live on WNYC, 93.9 FM, and online at wnyc.org, where you can also watch a live webcast, all starting at 2 PM ET. Tune in then to hear the band talk with host John Schaefer and perform songs from their latest album, Who's Feeling Young Now?, released earlier this year on Nonesuch. Also on today's show is guitarist/composer Kaki King.

Punch Brothers are also in New York to perform a sold-out show at The Town Hall tomorrow night, with Jesca Hoop opening, part of their current headlining tour of the US. Hoop has one more show with the band, at the 9:30 Club in Washington, DC, on Friday, after which Punch Brothers play a set at MerleFest in Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and head to The Music Farm in Charleston, South Carolina. The tour also makes a stop in Austin, where the band will tape an episode of Austin City Limits at Moody Theater on Tuesday for future broadcast on PBS and play a sold-out show at Antone's on Wednesday. The tour wraps up with a sold out LA Bluegrass Situation show at Largo in Los Angeles next Friday. Several summer festival dates follow. For details and ticket links, go to nonesuch.com/on-tour.

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024. "It planted a seed for our work," Kronos founder and violinist David Harrington says of the album. "It's flowered so beautifully."
