Even with that to look forward to, the band also has two New York performances of A Prairie Home Companion coming in early December. Until then, Paste has published a video interview with the Punch Brothers from the CMJ music conference in which the guys give some insight into their instruments.
Punch Brothers recently announced on their Twitter feed what fans have been longing to hear since first picking up the band's 2008 Nonesuch debut, Punch: "Good Followers," they write, "we just put the finishing touches on the 18th of 18 songs that we've earmarked for our new record. Now, to the studio!"
Even with that to look forward to, there is also a pair of very special live performances from the band in the not-too-distant future when they take the stage at New York's Town Hall as special guests of Garrison Keillor for two live broadcast performances of A Prairie Home Companion December 4 and 5.
