The ceremony will take place at 6667 Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, where Newman's star will become the 2,411st on the Walk of Fame. Newman recently concluded a tour of Europe that included a set at London's Royal Festival Hall described by the Independent as "riveting." The Independent's Ben Walsh, in his four-star review, says of Newman, "as a lyricist he's right up there with Cohen, Lennon and Dylan."

A musical stage production titled after Newman's latest Nonesuch release, Harps and Angels, is currently in the works under Broadway director Jerry Zaks and is scheduled to premiere at the Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles this fall.
