The line-up for the 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, aka Jazz Fest, has been announced, and included among this year's performers are Rhiannon Giddens (April 24) and Punch Brothers (May 1). Jazz Fest runs over seven days across two weekends, April 22–24 and April 28–May 1. The festival will pay tribute to one of the Crescent City's favorite sons, Allen Toussaint, hosted by the Allen Toussaint Band with special guests.

The line-up for the 2016 New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, aka Jazz Fest, has been announced, and included among this year's performers are Rhiannon Giddens and Punch Brothers. Jazz Fest runs over seven days across two weekends, April 22–24 and April 28–May 1.The opening weekend includes a set from Giddens on Sunday, April 24, and Punch Brothers help close out the festival the following Sunday, May 1. Also among the performers at this year's Jazz Fest are another favorite son, Dr. John, and several contributors to the 2005 Nonesuch Records benefit album Our New Orleans, including Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, and Irma Thomas.
