Sam Amidon begins his autumn European tour, in support of his new album, The Following Mountain, at Scalateatern Källare in Stockholm tonight. The tour continues with dates in Oslo, Copenhagen, London, Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam, and more, concluding in Ireland early next month with concerts at Whelan’s in Dublin and Cyprus Avenue in Cork.

The Following Mountain was released earlier this year via Nonesuch Records. The London Evening Standard gives the album four stars, praising its “captivating arrangements and elegiac charm.” The Irish Times gives it four stars as well, calling it “breathtaking … a fascinating signpost to the future.”
