Sara Watkins will be on the big screen as a guest on A Prairie Home Companion as the show is broadcast live in movie theaters across North America next Thursday, October 21. A high-definition video feed of a special Thursday night performance from the Fitzgerald Theater in St. Paul, Minnesota, will be sent via satellite to movie theaters live at 7 PM CT, 8 PM ET, and 6 PM MT, and at 7 PM PT on a taped delay. The show was last "cinecast" in this way back in February.

Garrison Keillor and friends promise "two hours of non-stop fun" with this regular Prairie Home show made for the big screen, featuring "the sweet sounds" of Sara Watkins along with fellow musical guests Old Crow Medicine Show, Joe Ely, and Andra Suchy. Also on the show will be The Royal Academy of Radio Actors; Sue Scott, Tim Russell, with both Tom Keith and Fred Newman, as well as, of course, The Guy's All-Star Shoe Band and The News from Lake Wobegon.

Watkins is a frequent guest on A Prairie Home Companion and spent several weeks touring with the cast and crew as they performed at venues across the country on the Summer Love Tour. Her Nickel Creek band mate Chris Thile will perform on the live radio broadcast of the show from Cincinnati Music Hall on November 27, Thanksgiving weekend.
