There's more music to come in the first half of the summer too, as Watkins starts the season at Joe's Pub in New York City on June 21, then heads on tour for two weeks with Dar Williams.
Sara Watkins's late-summer plans are already in order, with the singer-songwriter-fiddler due to head across the States for the month-long Summer Love Tour with Garrison Keillor and the cast of public radio's A Prairie Home Companion, starting August 10, as announced last month in the Nonesuch Journal. She'll also join Keillor and crew for a live radio broadcast of the show at the Santa Barbara Bowl on June 5.
There's more music to come in the first half of the summer as well, as Watkins now adds a number of new dates to her tour schedule, starting with a return to Joe's Pub in New York on the first day of the season, June 21. Later that week, she'll play the first of several dates opening for folk singer-songwriter Dar Williams. The shows with Williams run from June 25 at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina, to July 10 at Blueberry Hill in St. Louis.
Already on Watkins's calendar for May is a string of performances in the Pacific Northwest and California with Vienna Teng and Alex Wong.
