The current run of k.d. lang's Watershed tour brought her to the Dallas-Ft. Worth area last night for a performance at Bass Performance Hall that the Star-Telegram's pop music critic Preston Jones called a "superb 90-minute set."
Jones describes what unfolded on stage:
Ricocheting from jazz to country to folk to something approaching alt-gospel, lang, backed by an ace quintet, reveled in coloring outside the lines and, in the process, delivering one of the finest performances I’ve seen in North Texas this year.
Adjective-laden volumes could be written about lang’s peerless pipes, yet not get close to describing its in-person potency.
