The 2018 Tanglewood season has been announced, and among the artists slated to perform at the esteemed Lenox, Massachusetts, venue—the summer home of the Boston Symphony Orchestra—are several familiar to readers of the Nonesuch Journal: Emmylou Harris and Ry Cooder, Chris Thile, Jeremy Denk, and Audra McDonald.

Audra McDonald joins the Boston Pops, with her music director Andy Einhorn at the podium, in the Koussevitzky Music Shed on Sunday afternoon, June 24. As on her latest Nonesuch album, Go Back Home, the program includes songs by composers with whom she has long been associated, like Sondheim and Rodgers, and by an emerging generation of composers.

Chris Thile brings his public radio show, Live From Here, to the Music Shed the following Saturday, June 30, to be broadcast live. That week's special musical guests are still to be announced, but there's sure to be a Song of the Week, like those featured on Thile's latest solo album, Thanks for Listening.

The very next day, Ry Cooder and Emmylou Harris come together on a special double bill at the Music Shed for an afternoon performance on Sunday, July 1.

And finally, Jeremy Denk gives a mid-week solo piano recital in Seiji Ozawa Hall that includes works by Mozart, Prokofiev, Beethoven, and Schumann, on Wednesday, July 11.
