The Black Keys will be the guests on today's episode of NPR's Fresh Air to talk about their music, not least their latest Nonesuch release, 2010's Brothers, which is nominated in six categories at next month's Grammy Awards and recently garnered the band a Gold record. On The Black Keys' tour schedule are two sold-out shows in Las Vegas and the Coachella festival. Rolling Stone placed Patrick Carney at No. 3 among the 50 Top Tweeters in Music.

The Black Keys will be the guests on today's episode of NPR's Fresh Air with Terry Gross. Band mates Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney will discuss their musical influences, their music, and the monumental year that has followed their latest Nonesuch release, 2010's Brothers. The album is nominated in six categories at next month's Grammy Awards and garnered the band a Gold record. Auerbach and Carney also give some insight into their recent, hilarious appearance with Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig on the Colbert Report. Tune in on NPR stations across the US today to hear The Black Keys on Fresh Air and listen online this evening at npr.org.

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024. "It planted a seed for our work," Kronos founder and violinist David Harrington says of the album. "It's flowered so beautifully."
