Today's news follows an unforgettable week of collaborations for The Low Anthem. The band joined The Chieftains for a number of events celebrating the legendary Irish band's 50th anniversary, including a night as musical guests on The Late Show with David Letterman, a performance broadcast from NPR member station WGBH, and St. Patrick's Day concert at Carnegie Hall.
In the midst of all that, The Low Anthem made its way to Austin, Texas, for a magical night at The Moody Theater for SXSW, opening for none other than Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band. The concert culminated in a moving rendition of Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land" by Springsteen, The Low Anthem, Arcade Fire, Tom Morello, Alejandro Escovedo, and more, which you can watch here.
As noted earlier today in the Nonesuch Journal, The Low Anthem is also featured on the soundtrack to the film The Hunger Games, out today, as are label mates Carolina Chocolates Drops and Punch Brothers.
