The Low Anthem will be the guests on today's episode of Soundcheck on New York public radio station WNYC. The band will perform what the show calls its "modern take on American roots music" live in studio, previewing songs from their forthcoming Nonesuch release, Smart Flesh, due out February 22 and available for pre-order now in the Nonesuch Store. The band is set to launch a tour of North America in support of Smart Flesh at the end of February. Before then, the band has a few special shows of note in the coming weeks, starting with a sold-out performance at The Allen Room in New York City this Thursday as a part of Lincoln Center's American Songbook series. Later this month, the band will head out West to play two showcases curated by ASCAP, the performance-rights organization, at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, followed by a show with Iron & Wine at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.
