Ben Folds and Nick Hornby's week of events in New York City culminates with an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon tonight. That follows a free event at the Barnes & Noble in Union Square—conversation, performance, and signing of their new album, Lonely Avenue—that leads Daily Candy's Weekend Guide of things to do in the city. Ben Folds and Nick Hornby's week of events in New York City culminates tonight with an appearance on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Tune in to NBC tonight starting at 12:35 AM ET. Among the other guests on tonight's show is Pee-Wee Herman, whose live Broadway production of The Pee-Wee Herman Show officially opens the newly named Stephen Sondheim Theatre later this month.

Well before Late Night airs, fans in New York can see Folds and Hornby live at the Barnes & Noble flagship store in Union Square this evening at 7:30 PM ET. The two will participate in Upstairs at the Square, the free series that pairs authors and musicians in conversation and more. The event leads Daily Candy's Weekend Guide, recommended for being "like Behind the Music, only with relevant artists, new material, and fewer drug spirals." Folds will be at the piano performing selections from their recently released Nonesuch album, Lonely Avenue, and journalist Katherine Lanpher will talk to both men about the new album. Folds and Hornby will sign copies of the album at the end of the discussion.

The two visited the studios of New York NPR member station WNYC yesterday as guests on Soundcheck. The two spoke with host John Schaefer about their collaboration, and Folds performed live in studio. You can listen to it here:
