Now, the video for the title track, directed by Rupert Style and featuring a live session of the song, has received its Pitchfork premiere. The video premiered on NME.com in the UK, where the EP was released yesterday on Bella Union. The video will be included with the digital EP out on Nonesuch in August. When Selway wrote the songs that formed the track listing for Familial, he kept back a handful that he felt worked best as a separate piece of work; these now comprise Running Blind. The songs evolved during Selway’s live shows supporting Familial, and he subsequently returned to the studio to record them with his band: Adem, Alex Thomas, Caroline Weeks, and Kath Mann.
