Shawn Colvin, who brings her live show to The Birchmere in Alexandria, Virginia, and the Musikfest Café in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, this weekend, recently appeared on an episode of HBO's Treme. The show, from David Simon, creator of The Wire, is set in post-Katrina New Orleans and takes its title from the name of one of the city's oldest neighborhoods, an important source of African-American music and culture.
