The Low Anthem's summer tour of Europe comes to the end of the road as the band plays the End of the Road festival this weekend and a sold-out show with Iron and Wine at Union Chapel next week. Their next scheduled US date is with Josh Ritter in October. The Low Anthem's summer tour of Europe comes to the end of the road as the band plays the End of the Road festival at Larmer Tree Gardens in Dorset, England, on Sunday, and prepares for a sold-out show at Union Chapel in London, opening for Iron and Wine. The next US tour date for The Low Anthem is slated for October 22, when the Rhode Island-based quartet joins Josh Ritter & the Royal city Band at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine, followed by a two-week tour of the East Coast with Emmylou Harris in November.
Earlier this year, The Low Anthem joined The Avett Brothers for a US tour of their own, including a show at the Egyptian Room at the Murat Centre in Indianapolis. During that stop, band members Ben Knox Miller, Jocie Adams, and Mat Davidson sat down with filmmaker Riley Fields to talk about their music and life on the road. Riley has put together an 11-minute video featuring interviews, a behind-the-scenes look at this one stop on the tour, and live performances from the Indianapolis show, featuring songs from their Nonesuch debut album, Oh My God, Charlie Darwin.
