Wilco's European tour continues this weekend with two stops in Italy, including a performance with Grizzly Bear at the Conservatorio in Milan, and runs through next week with two dates in the Netherlands. Fans both in and outside of Europe will be happy to learn that Monday's show at the Paradiso in Amsterdam will be webcast live on the band's site at wilcoworld.net/roadcase beginning at 9:15 PM in Amsterdam, 3:15 PM EST and 12:15 PST in the United States.

In the mean time, Wilco's much-anticipated contribution to Beck's Record Club is now available. The project, available through Beck's site, which had previously included covers of The Velvet Underground & Nico and Songs of Leonard Cohen by Beck and special guest artists, now turns its attention to 1969's Oar, the sole solo release from the late Skip Spence, Jefferson Airplane's original drummer and a member of Moby Grape. First up is the album's opening track, "Little Hands," with Wilco, Leslie Feist, and Jamie Lidell performing. Also on the covers front, Peter Gabriel, who was recently heard offering praise of Youssou N'Dour's voice in the BBC documentary Youssou N'Dour at 50, can soon be heard lending his own vocals to the songs of "extremely legendary artists," in the words of a participant on the project quoted in the Guardian, on his forthcoming covers album, Scratch My Back. Among such artists are David Bowie, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Talking Heads, and two Nonesuch artists, The Magnetic Fields, with "The Book of Love," off the band's Merge release 69 Love Songs, and Randy Newman with "I Think It's Going to Rain Today," the classic tune which Randy himself recorded anew for his Nonesuch debut, The Randy Newman Songbook, Vol. 1, and which label mate Audra McDonald covered on her 2006 album, Build a Bridge.
