Wanda Jackson, whose February European tour was announced yesterday in the Nonesuch Journal, can be seen much sooner than that by fans in the UK, as she rings in the New Year on Jools Holland's Hootenanny on December 31. The program, which airs on BBC Two starting at 11 PM New Year's Eve, has become a holiday tradition, with this year's show marking the 18th annual Hootenanny from the host of Later ... with Jools Holland.
Look for Jackson to perform her rendition of Amy Winehouse's "You Know I'm No Good," off her forthcoming, Jack White-produced album The Party Ain't Over, due out January 25, as part of an eclectic Hootenanny line-up, with performances from Kylie Minogue, Vampire Weekend, Cee-Lo Green, Roger Daltrey, Toots Hibbert, and T Bone Burnett protégées Secret Sisters, among many others.
