The Arcs recently stopped by The Village recording studios in Los Angeles, where they performed a live take of "Outta My Mind," the first single off Yours, Dreamily, their forthcoming debut album. You can watch the performance here. The album track "Outta My Mind," which is available to download now with pre-orders of Yours, Dreamily, has garnered critical acclaim, with Vulture praising its "raw, bare-bones appeal," and Spin noting its "barrage of deliciously reverbed, strung-out riffs." The song is also featured on a 7-inch single with non-album track "My Mind."

The Arcs, whose debut album, Yours, Dreamily, is due September 4 on Nonesuch Records, recently stopped by The Village recording studios in Los Angeles, where they performed a live take of "Outta My Mind," the first single off the album. You can watch the performance below. Download the album version of the song, along with album tracks "Stay in My Corner" and "Put a Flower in Your Pocket," when you pre-order Yours, Dreamily, on iTunes, the arcs.com, and the Nonesuch Store.

"Outta My Mind," has garnered critical acclaim, with Vulture praising its "raw, bare-bones appeal," and Spin noting its "barrage of deliciously reverbed, strung-out riffs." The song is also featured on a 7-inch vinyl single with non-album track "My Mind."

The Arcs are Dan Auerbach, Leon Michels, Richard Swift, Homer Steinweiss, and Nick Movshon. Also featured on the album are Kenny Vaughan and Mariachi Flor de Toloache. The group collaboratively wrote and recorded 13 tracks for Yours, Dreamily, with the musicians playing a large array of roles both vocally and instrumentally. Co-produced by Auerbach and Michels, the album was recorded in roughly two weeks through spontaneous, informal sessions across the country at the Sound Factory in Los Angeles, the Diamond Mine in Queens, Auerbach's Easy Eye Sound in Nashville, and in a lounge room at Electric Lady in Manhattan. Tchad Blake mixed the album on his horse farm in Wales.

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024. "It planted a seed for our work," Kronos founder and violinist David Harrington says of the album. "It's flowered so beautifully."
