Audra McDonald, currently on Broadway in Shuffle Along, joined The Late Late Show host James Corden for a very special, all-Broadway Carpool Karaoke last night, along with Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda; Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson, now on Broadway in Fully Committed; and 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski, now in She Loves Me. Audra McDonald joined The Late Late Show host James Corden for a very special, all-Broadway Carpool Karaoke last night, along with Hamilton creator and star Lin-Manuel Miranda; Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson, now starring on Broadway in Fully Committed; and 30 Rock's Jane Krakowski, now performing in She Loves Me. Corden, who will be hosting the 70th Annual Tony Awards this Sunday, June 12, on CBS, and crew buckled up for a ride through New York City to sing out some show tunes from Hamilton, Rent, Jersey Boys, and, for an unforgettable finale, Les Misérables. McDonald, who has won a record six Tony Awards, is currently starring on Broadway in Shuffle Along: Or The Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed, which won the Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Musical, among others, this past Sunday and is nominated for that and other Tony Awards this Sunday. Audra McDonald’s fifth solo album, Go Back Home, was released on Nonesuch Records in 2013, and followed her previously released albums Build a Bridge (2006), Happy Songs (2002), How Glory Goes (2000), and Way Back to Paradise (1998).

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024.
