Carolina Chocolate Drops' Nonesuch debut album, Genuine Negro Jig, on a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Folk Album in 2011. Their latest record, Leaving Eden, released last year, contains original compositions, covers, and traditional songs and was produced by Buddy Miller. The BBC called it "plain terrific." The band plays a number of tour dates in the US South later this year, starting at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta on December 6, followed by three sets of two-night runs: at The Orange Peel in Asheville, Bijou Theatre in Knoxville, and Neighborhood Theatre in Charlotte.
