Octet, the original cast recording for which is out now on Nonesuch Records, features a score for an a cappella chamber choir and an original libretto inspired by internet comment boards, scientific debates, religious texts, and Sufi poetry. Octet, which premiered at the Signature Theatre in 2019, explores addiction and nihilism within the messy context of twenty-first century technology.

The Signature Theatre production of Octet, directed by Annie Tippe with musical direction by Or Mattias, won three Lucille Lortel Awards, including Outstanding Musical, and which has been nominated in eight categories and received a special Ensemble Award at this coming weekend's Drama Desk Awards.
