Patinkin gave Mendes some love advice based on his own marriage of forty years and gave the audience of taste of what Mendes's song "Stitches" sounds like in Yiddish. Diary: January 27, 2018, the first in a series of musical installments from Mandy Patinkin and pianist/producer Thomas Bartlett, was released on Nonesuch this past April.
