Punch Brothers helped celebrate the holidays with a performance on a special edition of CBS This Morning's Saturday Sessions on December 23. The band was joined by Aoife O'Donovan for their own take on the Pogues' classic holiday tune "Fairytale of New York," and she, Chris Thile, and Chris Eldridge performed the new holiday tune "Douglas Fir," from Thile's recently released album Thanks for Listening. Also fitting for the season of light, Punch Brothers performed their song "Little Lights," from their 2015 Nonesuch album, The Phosphorescent Blues. You can watch all three performances below.

To pick up a copy of Thile's new album, Thanks for Listening, head to iTunes, Amazon, or the Nonesuch Store, where CD and vinyl orders include a download of the complete album at checkout. You can also listen to the album on Spotify and Apple Music.

Thanks for Listening is a collection of new studio recordings of ten songs originally written as Songs of the Week on A Prairie Home Companion, now called Live From Here. The public radio show will be broadcast live from Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco this coming Saturday, with special guests David Crosby and I'm With Her (Aoife O'Donovan, Sarah Jarosz, and Sara Watkins); comedian Jenny Zigrino; and duets partner Gaby Moreno. O'Donovan, Jarosz, and Moreno are all guest singers on Thanks for Listening.
