Punch Brothers—whose new five-song EP, Ahoy!, was released on Nonesuch Records earlier this week—recently stopped by the CMT studio to perform a five-song set for Live @ CMT. Both Ahoy! and Who's Feeling Young Now? were recorded in Nashville in October 2011 and produced by Jacquire King (Kings of Leon, Tom Waits, Modest Mouse). The new EP includes songs by Josh Ritter, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, Punch Brothers, and Mclusky, along with one traditional tune, arranged by Punch Brothers. Punch Brothers closed out their UK tour with a performance at The Tunnels in Bristol last night. The band heads back to the Continent for three concerts in the Netherlands and Belgium this weekend as part of the Crossing Border festival. They kick off the next US leg of their tour with a performance at the Chan Shun Concert Hall in Vancouver next Saturday, November 24. For details and ticket links, visit nonesuch.com/on-tour.

    Congratulations to Kronos Quartet, whose acclaimed 1992 Nonesuch album Pieces of Africa has been named one of twenty-five recordings to be inducted into the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress for 2024.
