The culminating concert of Giddens’ Carnegie Hall Perspectives series takes place in Zankel Hall with members of the Silkroad Ensemble on Friday, March 10. She then joins Nonesuch label mate Natalie Merchant at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History in Washington, DC, the following day, Saturday, March 11, for a conversation titled Revisiting the American Musical Past, part of the museum’s Roots to Pop series created in collaboration with the Americana Music Foundation.
