The English trio The Staves—Emily, Jessica, and Camilla Staveley-Taylor (all vocals)—and New York City–based ensemble yMusic were on Live From Here with Chris Thile, broadcast live from The Town Hall in New York City to public radio stations across the United States on Saturday. The groups performed three songs from their new album, The Way Is Read, released earlier this month on Nonesuch Records: the title track, "Trouble on My Mind," and "All My Life." The Staves also joined the show's cast and other guests, including Thile, Jeff Tweedy, Sarah Jarosz, and Punch Brothers, at the end of the show to perform the Pogues' Christmas classic "Fairytale of New York."
